Herbal Educator offers a comprehensive course for children (8-100) leading to Junior Herbalist Certification!

Welcome to an opportunity to become friends with the herbs on this planet and to make healthy choices throughout life!

Your textbook is Herbal Exploration: A Journey of Discovery for the Young Herbalist, co-authored by Beverly R. Pepperdine and Donna Evans, Master Herbalist. This book consists of twelve lessons. Each lesson highlights the herb, gardening, stories from history, and nutrition matters! Herb lessons include: The Largest Herb in the World, Chamomile, Arugula, Basil, Mint, Chives, Lavender, An Herb of Choice, Dandelion, Garlic, Parsley, and Blue Agave.

Here are the steps to becoming a Junior Herbalist!

1.      Study and complete 12 Herbal Lessons, under the direction of an Herbal Guide.
2.      Complete an assessment with each lesson (to be e-mailed to Mrs. Evans or an approved Herbal Educator for review).
3.      Participate in Live Herbal TeleClasses (optional).
4.      Present a Final Project in which you teach a specific herb during a fifteen-minute teleclass with an Herbal Guide and selected guests.

Assessments: With each lesson, aspiring Jr. Herbalists may access quizzes below to complete and return with answered questions to herbaleducator@gmail.com.

Final Project: After completing 12 lessons and 12 quizzes, students must complete a final project which involves preparing a 10 minute lesson to be presented to Mrs. Evans and invited guests. After successful completion of this final project, you may be awarded a certificate from Herbal Educator stating that you completed all of the requirements necessary to receive the title “Junior Herbalist.” Cost: US$ 25.00.

Live Herbal TeleClasses: Herbal Educator may offer tele-Classes in addition to the Young Herbalist curriculum, Herbal Explorations: A Journey of Discovery for the Young Herbalist.

Parents / guardians / or other interested parties serve as herbal guides to help children complete exercises. No previous herbal knowledge or experience is required. Herbal Guides will be able to learn right along side the children in an exciting learning adventure.

Junior Herbalist Certification Summary:

Complete 12 Herbal Lessons.
Take an assessment following each of the 12 herb lessons. E-mail tests to herbaleducator@gmail.com.
Prepare and share a Final Project & Receive a Certificate (Fee: US$ 25.00). This fee covers a teleconference with Mrs. Evans and selected guests as well as the printing and mailing of your certificate stating that you have completed all of the requirements as set forth by HerbalEducator to be awarded the title of Junior Herbalist.
